Charlie’s Promise is an anti-knife crime charity founded in memory of Charlie, whose life was tragically taken at 17. Through powerful lived-experience education, we help young people understand the real consequences of knife crime and make safer choices.
As we enter an exciting new phase, we are seeking a Digital Communications Manager to lead the delivery of our Digital Communications and Education Strategy.
The role sits at the heart of this important new phase for Charlie’s Promise. As our work grows, digital communications will play a crucial role in extending our reach, reinforcing learning beyond our talks and ensuring our message reaches young people, parents and schools long after we leave the room.
Our Digital Communications Manager will help translate powerful lived experience into responsible, engaging digital content that educates, informs and ultimately helps keep young people safe.
This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and managing Charlie’s Promise’s digital presence, creating impactful online content, and supporting the development of digital education resources.
A key part of the role will be ensuring that all content is responsible, safeguarding-led and trauma-informed, helping amplify our mission without sensationalism.
This is a rare opportunity to use your digital skills to help save lives and shape the future of a small but growing charity.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering our Digital Communications and Education Strategy extending the reach of our work
Managing social media, website and digital hub content
Developing digital education resources for schools, parents and young people
Measuring digital reach, engagement and impact

Reducing reliance on one-person in-person delivery alone
We’re looking for someone who:
Has strong digital communications and content creation experience
Is creative, thoughtful and values responsible storytelling
Understands the importance of safeguarding and working with sensitive subject matter
Is motivated by the opportunity to use digital skills to create meaningful social impact
